TORK-RA-GA Series SMS-TORK - Gas or Hydraulic Controlled Heavy Duty Pneumatic Actuators

The TORK-RA-GA Series is an SMS-TORK heavy duty scotch yoke actuator controlled by pressurized gas or hydraulic oil instead of plant compressed air, built for the large, high-torque valves found on cross-country pipelines and oil and gas facilities.

Local and remote control are standard on the RA-GA platform, with emergency shutdown (ESD) operation, an emergency gas reservoir for stored-energy fail-safe closing, and partial stroke testing available as options for valves that must prove their ability to move without taking the line out of service. Typical installations include pipeline block and ESD valves, iron and steel plant services, power generation facilities, drinking water transmission lines, compressor stations, pumping stations and pressure reducing stations, wherever a rack and pinion or standard scotch yoke actuator cannot reach the required torque or stored-energy fail-safe performance.
