TORK-PLA Series SMS-TORK - Polyamid Body Pneumatic Actuator

The TORK-PLA Series is an SMS-TORK rack and pinion pneumatic actuator with a glass-fibre reinforced polyamide body, cover and pistons instead of aluminium, giving a lighter, corrosion-immune actuator for aggressive process environments.

Double acting (DA) and single acting, spring-return (SR) versions share the same polyamide fibreglass construction, delivering output torque of roughly 17 to 165 Nm at 6 bar (double acting models ranging 14 to 195 Nm across 4 to 8 bar) across a -32 to 90 degree C operating range, with action convertible between double and single acting by swapping the spring and cap. The actuator carries an IEC 61508 SIL3 certificate and ATEX 94/9/EC approval (EX II 2GD c IP67 T6), connects per ISO 5211 for the valve and Namur VDI/VDE 3845 and 3846 for switchboxes, positioners and solenoid valves, and suits ball and butterfly valve actuation or damper control in the chemical, food, irrigation and fish farming industries.
