S9180 SMS-TORK - Vibro Flow Fluidizing Device

The S9180 Vibro Flow is an SMS-TORK pneumatic fluidizing device fitted to silos, hoppers and other containers to stop powders and granules from packing down and bridging, which otherwise prevents the container from emptying completely under gravity.

Fed with a minimum of 1.5 bar compressed air, the device injects a thin layer of air between the container wall and the stored material, reducing friction and keeping material in motion as it discharges; when the container runs empty the unit vibrates lightly to self-clean. It runs most effectively on intermittent rather than continuous air feed, and is suited to materials such as bentonite, ash, flour, cement, feldspar, soda, kaolin, aluminium and titanium dioxide that discharge faster, more thoroughly and more homogeneously as a result. Units are installed near the container's outfeed mouth, spaced no more than 30 mm apart between centres and arranged in circular rows so the fluidizing effect overlaps, and are available for mounting inside the container or outside it where the inside is not accessible.
