RAM Series SMS-TORK - Arctic Pneumatic Actuators

The RAM Series is an SMS-TORK rack and pinion actuator built for Arctic environments, rated to operate reliably down to minus 60 degrees C without any reduction in output torque.

Available as single acting (spring-return), double acting, or 3-position (120 or 180 degree turn) configurations, the RAM actuator uses specially developed low-temperature sealing elements and the same corrosion-resistant extruded aluminium body as the standard TORK RA range, delivering double acting torque from roughly 9 to 5162 Nm at 6 bar and single acting torque from roughly 5 to 1950 Nm across the size range. Feeding air must be dried to remove water particles entirely for reliable operation at minus 60 degrees C, and a Namur solenoid valve rated for the same low temperature must be used; compressed air quality should meet ISO 8573-1 class 7-1-4.
