SMS-TORK Pulse Valve Diaphragms

Pulse Valve Diaphragms are SMS-TORK replacement sealing elements for PL and PX series pulse solenoid valves, the flexible diaphragm that holds back and then rapidly releases compressed air to generate the cleaning shock wave in a bag filter.

Three materials are offered to match the duty: NBR for general industrial use and oily environments at the lowest cost, Viton (FKM) for aggressive chemicals and high temperatures above 150 degrees C such as cement kilns, foundries and chemical plants, and thermoplastic where high cycle rates and longer maintenance intervals matter most. One diaphragm is used in 3/4 inch and 1 inch valves, generally two in 1 1/2 inch and larger sizes, and a correctly specified diaphragm is rated for up to 3.5 million open/close cycles. Replace a diaphragm at the first sign of cracking, continuous air leakage or reduced cleaning efficiency; when ordering, confirm the valve brand, model and connection size along with the compressed air pressure, process gas temperature and chemistry, and cycle frequency.
