SMS-TORK PTFE Coated Pneumatic Actuator

The PTFE Coated Pneumatic Actuator is an SMS-TORK rack and pinion actuator finished with a PTFE coating over the extruded aluminium body, specified for chemical, coastal and other corrosive environments where the standard anodized finish is not enough.

PTFE coating is one of four body finish options on the TORK RA platform alongside the standard anodized, epoxy-painted and nickel-plated finishes, chosen specifically where the actuator is exposed to aggressive chemicals, salt air or washdown chemicals that would otherwise attack an anodized or painted surface over time. Beyond the coating, the actuator keeps the same internal design as the rest of the range: cartridge springs, stainless steel or nickel-covered shaft, ISO 5211/DIN 3337 valve connection, and Namur VDI/VDE 3845 accessory connection, available in single or double acting configurations.
