SMS-TORK Hygienic Stainless Steel Actuator for Food and Sanitary

The Hygienic Stainless Steel Actuator (TORK-85 DA/SR) is an SMS-TORK pneumatic actuator built for stainless steel butterfly and ball valves in food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other sanitary-grade process lines.

An axial piston movement is converted into a 90 degree shaft rotation, with torque increasing as the valve disc approaches the seal ring for a positive final seating action. The actuator is produced in normally closed, normally open and air-to-air versions, built with AISI 316L stainless steel shaft, segments and O-rings, a bronze body and NBR sealing, and connects via a 1/4 inch BSP air port. It operates on 4 to 7 bar air pressure across -20 to 80 degrees C as standard (extended to -50 degrees C on request), with a 1.3 second opening and closing time and a 2.8 kg weight in the TORK-85 size.
