The Samson Type 3731-3 Electropneumatic Ex d Positioner is a single-acting or double-acting, self-calibrating positioner rated for hazardous area service, with HART communication and simple one-knob menu-driven operation accessible without opening the housing, even under hazardous area conditions.

It covers a valve travel of 3.6 to 200mm or opening angle of 24 to 100 degrees, offers 4 different automatic initialization modes plus a substitution mode for emergency startup, a calibrated gearless travel sensor, TROVIS-VIEW software configuration over the SSP interface, and software-limited output pressure to 1.4, 2.4 or 3.7 bar.
