Samson Type 3730-5 Electropneumatic Positioner with FOUNDATION Fieldbus

The Samson Type 3730-5 Electropneumatic Positioner is a smart, bus-powered field device complying with FOUNDATION fieldbus specifications based on IEC 61158-2, cyclically comparing the reference variable transmitted over the network to the valve travel or opening angle and issuing a corresponding pneumatic output.

It covers a valve travel of 3.6 to 300mm or opening angle of 24 to 100 degrees, integrates PID Control, Analog Output, Multiple Analog Output, Multiple Analog Input, 2 Discrete Output and 2 Discrete Input function blocks with Link Master Capability for autonomous field control loops, includes EXPERTplus diagnostics for control valves, and gives classified status messages per NAMUR NE 107.
