Burkert Type 8793 SideCONTROL Digital Electropneumatic Process Controller

The Burkert Type 8793 is a SideCONTROL digital electropneumatic process controller. It combines a valve positioner with a PID controller, so it closes the process loop directly at the valve.

It mounts on linear and quarter-turn actuators to IEC 60534-6-1 or VDI/VDE 3845 and takes the actual value of the process variable directly, for example flow, pressure or temperature. X.TUNE sets up the positioner automatically, and P.TUNE self-optimises the PID parameters. The backlit graphic display and 4-key keypad handle local operation, and diagnostics report valve status. Supply is 24 V DC at 5 W or less, and the housing is plastic-coated aluminium. Fieldbus options are EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, PROFIBUS DP-V1 and Burkert system bus (buS).
