Burkert Type 8792 SideCONTROL Digital Electropneumatic Positioner, NAMUR (00317986)

The Burkert 8792 (article 00317986) is a SideCONTROL digital electropneumatic positioner for linear and quarter-turn pneumatic actuators, in the NAMUR variant without fieldbus and with a cable gland connection.

This variant includes analogue position feedback (0/4 to 20 mA or 0 to 5/10 V), two galvanically isolated digital outputs and the diagnostics package, which reports valve status to NAMUR NE107. It mounts to IEC 60534-6-1 or VDI/VDE 3845. Start-up is automatic with the X.TUNE function, and the backlit graphic display with a 4-key membrane keypad handles local setup. The set-point is 0/4 to 20 mA or 0 to 5/10 V. Rotation range is 30 to 180 degrees and stroke 3 to 130 mm, depending on the attachment kit. Supply is 24 V DC at 5 W or less, and the housing is plastic-coated aluminium. The positioner uses no air in the controlled state.
