The Fuji Electric 1MBI2400U4D-170 is a high-power U-series IGBT module with one IGBT and free-wheeling diode in a single package, rated 1700 V and 2400 A for large inverters and power converters.
Collector current is 2400 A continuous at a case temperature of 80 C (3600 A at 25 C, 4800 A pulsed for 1 ms) and collector power dissipation is 14,700 W per device. Maximum junction temperature is 150 C and isolation between terminals and the copper base is 3400 V AC for 1 minute. Typical saturation voltage is 2.47 V at 2400 A at the main terminals. The module has a low-inductance structure for high-speed switching and uses M8 main terminals, M4 sense terminals and M6 mounting screws. Typical uses are inverters for motor drives, AC and DC servo drive amplifiers, uninterruptible power supplies and industrial machines such as welding equipment.
