Banner Engineering SM2A312D MINI-BEAM AC Diffuse Sensor, 380 mm

The Banner SM2A312D is an AC-powered MINI-BEAM diffuse-mode photoelectric sensor that detects objects up to 380 mm (15 in) away using an infrared 880 nm beam.

It runs on 24 to 240 VAC (50/60 Hz) and switches its load through a 2-wire SPST SCR solid-state output, with light or dark operate selected by a switch. The output handles 300 mA continuous up to 50 C (100 mA at 70 C), with a 5 mA minimum load, and responds in 8 ms. A gain adjustment screw and the AID alignment indicator help set up, and a red LED on the rear shows when the load is energised. The encapsulated thermoplastic polyester housing is IP67 with o-ring sealing and a 2 m cable, and it operates from -20 to +70 C.
