The B&R 3CP260.60-1 (CP260) is a double-width B&R System 2005 CPU with 2 insert slots for interface modules and a PCMCIA memory card slot, mounted next to the power supply in the main rack.
It runs at a typical instruction cycle of 0.2 microseconds with 4 MB DRAM, 850 KB user SRAM and 512 KB user FlashPROM, accepts PCMCIA memory cards up to 16 MB for program exchange in the field, supports NC synchronization, and has an RS232 interface at up to 64 kBaud. Data can be buffered for at least 4 years by the backplane battery, and the CPU draws a maximum of 8 W without cards or interface modules.
