We recently faced an issue regarding the pricing for the motors we just received from China. These motors are explosion-proof motors, and the issue we faced is our motors are costlier than normal motors.
Of course normal motors cost are quite less compared to Explosion proof motors, as they have to take care of the following :
– Enclosure is sealed
– Junction Box is completely sealed with EX- proof glands so no air can pass inside
– Non- Arching enclosure is design to mitigate the arc and don’t initiate the explosion.
This is why these type of motors are relatively costlier than normal motors. Here is our truck leaving for the site in Port Qasim chemical plant.
